Ep. 50 - On Grief and Loss

When losing a loved one, whether a pet or person, there’s no such thing a closure.

I recently lost my dog, Nub, to cancer. It came quick and wasn’t expected. I’m sharing my thoughts on that experience and working through that grief and loss. But there’s hope and Nub’s example reminded me how to cope with it.

Special thanks to Dr. Robert Franklin and the folks at Oregon Specialty Veterinary Hospital & Laurelwood Animal Hospital. We’ve brought our pups there for nearly 20 years and they’ve always provided the most compassionate and best care we’ve ever experienced. And the two times we’ve had to say goodbye, they were especially gentle with our boys and us throughout the process. They are the absolute best, and when our new baby comes home, we’ll certainly bring them in for their checkups.

Drew Zagorski

It’s been said that Drew is a bit crazy. It’s probably true. (Well, OK, it’s a certifiable fact.) That said, when people think that of you, you can get away with a whole lot more. And maybe it takes a little bit of crazy to come up with outside the box ideas. That’s exactly what Drew’s done for more than 30 years in the podcasting, marketing, branding and advertising space. He gets it. For any creative to work, no matter how outside the box, it needs to be true to the core values of a business or its owner. At LeftBrainRightBrain, we call it being logically creative. It’s our secret sauce.
